Autobiography

G. K. Atanbayeva was admitted to Al-Farabi Kazakh National University and graduated in 1999 with a bachelor’s degree from the Department of Human and Animal Physiology and Biophysics. In 2001, she enrolled in a master’s program and successfully completed her full-time master’s degree in the same department in 2003. From 2005 to 2009, she pursued postgraduate studies, and on November 24, 2010, she successfully defended her PhD dissertation on the topic: “The Effect of Heavy Metals on the Indicators of Immune Cells in Rats and Their Correction with Biologically Active Compounds.” On May 4, 2011, she was awarded the title of Candidate of Biological Sciences. On April 26, 2021, she received the academic title of Associate Professor (Docent). From 1994 to 2007, she worked as a first-category specialist in the Student Department of Al-Farabi KazNU. From 2007 to 2012, she held the position of a specialist at the Department of Biophysics and Biomedicine. Since 2012, she has been working as a lecturer at the same department. Her total work experience is 30 years, including 13 years in teaching. At the Department of Biophysics, Biomedicine, and Neuroscience, G. K. Atanbayeva delivers lectures, conducts seminars, and laboratory sessions in Human and Animal Physiology, Immunology, Age-related Physiology, Human Physiology, Fundamentals of Physiology, and other subjects. Under her scientific supervision, 35 bachelor’s students and 25 master’s students have been trained, and she is currently supervising 2 PhD students. She also served as a senior advisor at the department for 15 years. She actively participates in international and national scientific-practical conferences and congresses, with around 200 research articles published in various journals, including those presented at conferences in the United States, Germany, Sochi, and Kazan. Over the past three years, she has published 8 articles in journals indexed in Scopus and 4 articles in the Thomson Reuters database. In total, she has published about 64 articles over three years, including 8 in Scopus, 5 in Thomson Reuters, and more than 100 in BҒSҚEK. Her Hirsch index is 3. She holds 2 patents and 2 copyright certificates and annually participates in professional development courses.
